Welcome to The Huachucans
The Huachucans of Sierra Vista is an organization dedicated to Helping Kids Since 1985 and over the past 29 years has raised and donated over $600,000 to youth organizations and activities throughout Cochise County. This year got off to a great start with over $30,000 being raised for local youth organizations through our Annual Spring Raffle (see our Raffle page for additional information on how to participate). Our raffle, one of three major fund raising events during the year along with our Charity Auction Dinner and the Sierra Vista Open Golf Tournament has provided funding to over 30 youth organizations in Sierra Vista and the local area.
Our second fund raising event is our Charity Auction Dinner. This dinner coincides with the Sierra Vista Open Golf Tournament and was attended by over 300 people last year. This year's event is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet with attendance at both the dinner and Sierra Vista Golf Tournament expected to surpass last year's levels.
Our last fund raising event is the Sierra Vista Open Golf Tournament held at the Pueblo del Sol Country Club. Last year's tournament drew professionals, club pros and amateurs from as far away as Alaska along with two women pros who gave the men a run for their money. There is a flighted net division for amateurs in addition to the Pro event however anyone can compete with the professionals on a gross basis for the Sierra Vista Open Trophy, and many do. The public is welcome to come on out and see PGA Professional golfers play as well as some of the best in local talent. Even if you don't golf you'll appreciate the setting.
Today, as in 1985, we remain committed and focused on supporting local kids and youth organizations. In the past we've provided help to many youth organizations and activities including Buena High School Football, Buena and Tombstone High Schools JROTC, Valley Union High School Girls Softball, Tombstone High School Track and Field, Buena Band Association, Project Graduation, Sierra Vista Boys and Girls Club, Arizona Panic, Sierra Vista Diamonds, Sierra Vista Hot Peppers, Sierra Vista Hot Shots, Sierra Vista Galaxy, Sierra Vista Youth Football & Cheer, C.A.N.T.E.R, Miss Cochise County Outstanding Teen, Miss Sierra Vista, Bisbee Little League, Campstone Little League, Upward Sports, and Bobcat Baseball just to name a few.
The Huachucans owe a great deal of thanks to these Major Sponsors for their generosity and exceptional support which makes this possible.
